RIT KosovoTM (A.U.K) offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Arts and Science issued via the Rochester Institute of Technology’s “The School of Individualized Study (SOIS)” (https://www.rit.edu/academicaffairs/sois/about-sois). The program is designed to deliver a high quality American education to outstanding students from Kosovo and around the world, from diverse backgrounds and nationalities that prepare them to be ethical, practical and socially engaged leaders of their communities.
The degree requires completion of at least 120 semester credit hours. The 120 credit hours are made up of 60 credit hours in general education along with 60 credit hours in two to four areas of professional concentrations. Each concentration is customized by the student and their academic advisor. A professional concentration is at least 15 credit hours and can be designed from most programs on campus. (BFA program courses cannot make up a full professional concentration). As part of the 60-credit hour general education requirement, students must complete perspectives courses and an immersion. Students must achieve a program GPA of at least 2.0 and professional concentration GPAs of at least a 2.0 in order to be certified.
