Message from the Chairman of the Board of Trustees
On behalf of our Board of Trustees, it is my honor and pleasure to welcome you and your family to the A.U.K. We invite you to explore our website and visit our campus to see why A.U.K students succeed here and are so well prepared for their future. We look forward to embracing prospective students and their families into our multinational community of learners to make the most of this extraordinary educational opportunity.
Studying at A.U.K is indeed an extraordinary opportunity. In partnership with the Rochester Institute of Technology, A.U.K offers its students the path to earn a degree that is accredited in the United States and is recognized all over the world for only a fraction of what it costs in the U.S. at A.U.K, we are committed to inspiring academic excellence, independence and a passion for learning while motivating our students to confidently take action as contributing members of a diverse global community. We achieve this through our academic curriculum along with our extensive co-curricular program, which offers a diverse range of activities.
One of our great strengths is the enthusiastic, personal involvement of our trustees, administrators, faculty, staff, and alumni in creating a sense of community. We believe that the opportunity for higher education should be available to all who seek it, and we offer a very significant amount of financial aid annually to our students. We work with generous individuals, corporations, and government agencies to find additional resources to support our students, and we work to assist students to find jobs and student loans to complete their education. We will endeavor to continue to assist, to the best of our abilities, in meeting the ongoing challenges that higher education presents in the years ahead.
A.U.K is a joyful school, filled with successful young people developing the academic, personal and social skills that will ensure they are ready for life-long learning, achievement and happiness. Diversity is important to A.U.K – we value our students from every community in Kosovo, and from over 20 countries around the world, as well as students with physical disabilities. It is important to the Board of Trustees that A.U.K’s Kosovar graduates stay here, work in Kosovo, and build their country. Over 90% of our graduates have been offered good jobs here in Kosovo and are building their careers here. The rest have gone on to graduate and law schools abroad or returned to their home country to work. We have a remarkable employment record for our graduates, which shines even brighter when one considers the unemployment levels of Kosovo and the broader region. We encourage a partnership between family and A.U.K, working closely together with the common goal of our young people becoming confident, knowledgeable, responsible, caring and capable citizens.
