How do I use the printers?
You can print to all public network printers in RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) if your computer/notebook is member in the RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) domain. Additionally, you need to have the specific printer installed and sufficient Printing Credit*:
- All students, staff and faculty can install a printer with using Add Printer Wizard from Control Panel, please chose a network printer and search the directory for the printer you are looking for. All Printers are named according to the place/office/lab where they are located. Students cannot install printers that reside in faculty or administration areas.
- All students who want to print need to have sufficient printing credit. Printing credit and the can be purchased at IT Helpdesk.
- Faculty and staff with their private Notebooks can use printing services as well. Please contact IT department for the help with the setup.
How do I connect to the wireless network?
Make sure your wireless network card is turned ON. Most Notebooks and other devices have a LED Symbol that shows the status of the wireless card. Students who use the RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) Notebooks are automatically connected to the wireless network and can use all the services provided from RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K).
Faculty and Staff members who use RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) Notebooks are also automatically connected to the Wireless Network.
Using private equipment to connect to wireless network requires authentication or key that can be requested in the IT department.

RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) computer and mail account
All staff, faculty and students have an RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) computer and E-mail Account. New members of the RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) community can make the request through their head of departments. Please find the necessary forms in the IT forms section of the RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) website.
Computer account allows you to access:
Computers on RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) campus and related services according to your privileges
Exchange server E-mail, contacts, calendar, etc. and related shared services according to your privileges.
How do I log into my account?
Use the username and the password provided to you from IT department.
How to configure Outlook to connect to the Exchange mail server?
You can connect to the Exchange server through MS Outlook installed in all RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) PC and Notebooks. MS Outlook is able to auto configure all the necessary settings with the Exchange sever using a set-up wizard when you first start the program. Note: you need to be connected to the RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) network to configure Outlook for the Exchange server.
How do I change my password?
It is recommended that you change your computer and e-mail password after you login to RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) computer. To do this, please hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete (Press the Ctrl and Alt keys and, while still holding them down, press the Delete key). Then click “Change Password” in appearing window. Write your new password in the New Password field.
How do I access my E-mail outside of RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K)?
To check your RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) E-mail outside of the RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K), please go to: https://mail.auk.org/owa and login by using RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) username and password.
About RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) Notebook Computers
Starting from the 2008-2009 academic year, RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) decided to provide all undergraduate students a Laptop. The laptop program’s purpose is to improve the learning experience and equal access to all students to complete their studies.
List of the installed software
RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) is determined to use only legally purchased or free software in their computer equipment, here is the list of the software installed in RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) computers. See: List of the installed software.
Physical maintenance: Having a Notebook wherever you go kind of represents who you are or want to be, just like your clothes. Keep the notebook clean; avoid touching the keyboard when you eat or when your hands are creamed or oily; avoid touching the screen
Clean the Notebook only with materials specially noted for computers and monitors.
Save the Notebook from a physical damage by carrying it with the backpack provided to you by RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) or a carrying case with the equivalent protection.
Don’t walk with an open Notebook, close the lid first; it takes only few seconds to get back to your working state session on the Notebook.
When traveling, don’t leave the Notebook unsecured.
How to scan your notebook for Viruses and other malware
Open Antivirus Scanner, chose your scann options and click 'Scan'.
