Edmond Muhaxheri is currently the head of Math Unit, and is also an elected member of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) Academic Senate. He is also engaged as the person leading RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) accreditation processes. He has completed a BSc in Astronomy & Mathematics at Queen Mary College, University of London; an MSc in Quantitative Finance at Westminster Business School, University of Westminster; and is currently completing a PhD in Operational Research at Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Informatics, of Economics Faculty at University of Tirana.
Edmond’s teaching responsibilities include the following courses: College Algebra, Interdisciplinary Math 1, Interdisciplinary Math 2, Introduction to Statistics 1, Introduction to Statistics 2, and Special Topic: Derivatives Market Analysis.
Edmond’s past experience includes working in actuarial analysis of final salary pension funds, asset management of UK and European government bonds, and risk management in automotive industry. Edmond has been a guest lecture for Pro Credit Bank in the past – lecturing bank’s SME clients on interest rate fragmentation.
Edmond’s current research interests lie in health economics (health insurance funds financing and sustainability); and in the past has also researched pension funds valuations, and corporate bond yield spread fragmentations.
In 2012, Edmond presented at two International conferences, first in Sofia, Bulgaria, and second in Prishtina, Kosovo.
