Mimoza Mustafa has joined RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) in 2006 as a lecturer of Mathematics and Statistics courses. Since then she had an opportunity of teaching following courses: Math thought and processes, College Math for Business I and II (Interdisciplinary Math I and II), Statistics I and II.
She earned an MSc degree in Quantitative Finance in Cass Business School, London. While, her undergraduate studies she completed in University of Prishtina in Applied Mathematics. She started her teaching experience at University of Prishtina, within Department of Mathematics where she was engaged as teaching assistant for seven years.
Parallel to her teaching experience Ms Mustafa pursued her career also in the financial sector. During last twelve years she held important positions in the field of finance, in different local and international institutions. For eight years she worked as Senior Economist in Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), within Financial Stability and Economic Analysis Department (FSEAD). As her main contribution and achievement was developing and implementing the stress-testing exercise on the Kosovo banking sector, as well as building the framework on compiling the Financial Soundness Indicators (FSIs). Her work in CBK also included drafting and editing parts of publications produced by FSEAD, such as: Financial Stability Report, Annual Report, Quarterly Assessment on economic development, and other specific analysis for internal use by management and CBK Governing Board.
Her main areas of interests are: applied mathematics with focus in finance; financial stability; banking sector risk management, mainly credit and liquidity risk.
