May 22, 2017
On Wednesday, May 10th 2017, the Honors Society presentations were held at the main auditorium of RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K). The Honors Society represents the highest academic achievements of undergraduate students at RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K).
This year, there were six outstanding students who presented their research projects, which they had worked on during the 2016/2017 academic year. The research topics that this group of outstanding students worked on ranged from economic issues in Kosovo to the opportunities and the effectiveness of private businesses in our country. All six projects were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Venera Demukaj.
The first presentation was delivered by Hana Bacaj, whose research was on the “The Role of Women in the Economy of Kosovo,” followed by Drenusha Berisha, who presented on the the topic: “Public Sector Wages: The Implications for the Private Sector.” The next two presentations were those of Robert Ejupi and Jehona Karavidaj, who presented on “The use of Social Media as a Marketing Tool in Kosovo: Current Trends and Opportunities” and “Social Assistance Scheme in Kosovo: Its Impact on Poverty Reduction” respectively. The two final presentations were those of Fjoralba Krapi and Arta Arifi. Fjorallba worked on “Corporate Blogging: Awareness and Effectiveness of Corporate Blogging in Businesses in Kosovo” whereas Art Raifi provided a synthesis on his research on “Barriers to Small and Medium Enterprises in Kosovo”.
The students presented their findings to the RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) faculty, staff, students, and other interested participants. Each presentation was followed by a Q&A session where the audience was able to ask questions or provide ideas on future research approaches on the same or similar topics.
These projects represent the great deal of contribution to research that RIT Kosovo™ (A.U.K) students and faculty commit to during the course of each academic year. These written research papers can be found in the RIT Digital Media Library.
