RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) is proud to congratulate its recent student achievement. At the multidisciplinary conference “Psycho-social Research and Intervention in Contemporary Society – Youth Participation”, in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) on May 16th - 17th, team Kosovo won Second Prize for their research and presentation at the Undergraduate level. The Kosovo dyad, consisting of our very own RIT Kosovo student, Diar Ramadani, and University of Prishtina graduate, Donjeta Jashari, also a United Youth Task Force activist, presented their work on youth in Kosovo. Diar presented his research co-authored with a fellow RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) student Ibrahim Jetullahu on the Social Aspects of Youth Unemployment in Kosovo, while Donjeta’s presentation focused on Child Marriages of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in Kosovo, co-authored with another University of Prishtina graduate, Blertë Fazliu. This combination of RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) and University of Prishtina student potential was done so that the initiative builds cross-university bridges between current and former students of both campuses.
The conference was the seventh annual international event held at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work (Babeş-Bolayi University). It gathered participants from Undergraduate, Master and Doctorate levels from Germany, China, the Netherlands, India, United Kingdom, Montenegro, Albania, Moldavia, Kosovo and Romania. The aim of the conference was to offer students the opportunity to practice and demonstrate their research and intervention skills, as well as promote their valuable research and psycho-social outcomes.
Kosovar student participation was nominated by our RIT Kosovo faculty, Edona Maloku (Psychology), in collaboration with the Balkan Forum, as a joint effort to promote student research and psycho-social interventions in the country.
