1) HOW CAN I ENSURE I STILL HAVE ACCESS TO RIT SPACE?
(Information retrieved from Alumni Computer Accounts)
After graduation, you will receive an email alerting you that your RIT computer account will change from a Student account to an Alumni account. Your username and password will remain the same!
Alumni Accounts will be able to log in to:
- G-mail and Google Apps
- RIT Wifi Network
- Library Services
- Alumni Network
You will not be able to access myCourses, my.rit.edu, and some other campus services.
You must manually renew your Alumni Account every year. You will receive an e-mail notification before your account expires. This e-mail will provide you with instructions on how to renew your account using start.rit.edu.
Accounts that are not renewed by the annual deadline will expire and be deleted after 6 months.
New Alumni Accounts
To activate your alumni account you will need to have a valid e-mail address on file with the Alumni Relations office.
This e-mail address to send you an activation key to create your alumni account. You may submit this e-mail address to generate the activation key and e-mail at start.rit.edu.
2) I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT ALUMNI RIGHTS TO ACCESS WALLY LIBRARY (RIT ONLINE RESOURCES)?
Database Access (retrieved from Wally Library Website)
- RIT Alumni can search a suite of Proquest online databases providing access to thousands of multidisiciplary journals, national newspapers and in-depth business information. This FREE service is provided through the collaborative efforts of RIT Alumni Relations and RIT Libraries.
- To access these databases, visit the Alumni Network, complete a simple registration and click on "Research Databases".
Already registered? Log in at the top of the Alumni portal page first, before clicking the database link, in order to be properly authenticated to use the databases.
You may not access the alumni databases using a secure, https, URL. Also, other security programs will block referring URL's and prevent authentication to the Alumni databases. For information on how to configure your security programs to work with Proquest, see the Proquest FAQ.
