STUDY AREA MAINTANANCE:
Each user of the library should keep the place where s/he is studying clean. After finishing use of table in study area, any remain (e.g. used paper with notes not needed anymore, pens, plastic bottles with water) or waist (e.g. chewing gums, used plastic bottles, covers of different kind, etc.) should be taken and thrown away in the recycle or trash bin. A spot with bins for the recycled materials is provided in the hall in front of the library.
FOOD and DRINKS
No food is allowed in the Library. The only reason we keep this policy is to prevent any damage to the library property.
Certain kind of drinks is allowed in the library. Everything not listed is not allowed.
Allowed: Bottles of water/juice/coffee/energy drink with bottle caps.
OVERDUE FINES and FEES
When library item is not returned on time overdue fine occurs. A user gets system automated reminder via email prior to entering the overdue. There is a possibility of renewing a hold on certain item via email, in addition to doing it in-vivo. In addition, self-renewing is enabled for all library materials, except for the books from the collection ON RESERVE.
Note: If a user has any concern or need to report a mistake regarding the overdue which was noted to him/her, s/he has 20 days since receiving the Overdue notice to start the communication regarding the issue. After this period, the overdue fine will be considered as ratified.
All collections, except ON RESERVE and REFERENCE MATERIALS
If a checked out item is not returned when due, fines accrue at:
- € 0.50 from due date per item per day;
- after 20 days of overdue a student who has failed to return an item (or items) will be responsible for the full payment of the cost of replacing the item(s), including shipping charges.
Collection ON RESERVE
Collection ON RESERVE includes library materials which should be returned to the library during the same day or until the last day which is marked on the label of the textbook (1, 2, 3, 7 days)
If a checked out item(s) is not returned until the end of working hours during the due day, fines accrue at:
- € 10 per item per day;
- after 7 days a student who has failed to return an item (or items) will be responsible for the full payment of the cost of replacing the item(s), including shipping charges.
Collection REFERENCE MATERIALS
This collection includes library materials which should be used only in the library. If library study area is fully occupied, user should report this to the library assistant in order to get permission to take the item(s) out of the Library.
Note: Although a user may be allowed to take an item(s) out of the Library, item(s) has (have) to be returned to the library during the same day, until the end of working hours for that day.
